Five years ago, my best friend had an adorable baby boy. Two years later, she had another. Ten months later, I had my own sweet baby boy. Finally, there’s going to be a girl added to the mix! Little Miss Evie Lynn will be making her arrival in the next few days. I flew up to West Virginia a few weeks ago to help host a baby shower to celebrate!
Here’s a look at our scrappy, pink shower. Stephanie loves to sew and craft, so our loose theme was crafting. We pretty much just put yarn and fabric on everything in sight. It was fun. Instead of Portlandia’s “Put a bird on it”, we “put a scrap on it.” We spent all day Saturday creating and crafting. The hot glue guns never got turned off. The next day we baked all day until the shower began. Creating and baking with your best friend for a weekend. It doesn’t get much better than that! Here are a few photos from the weekend. You can see more and read more details over on Stephanie’s blog.
Each guest wrote a note to Evie & Stephanie to be opened on her monthly “birthday” until she turns one.
The beautiful momma.
I’ve met so many sweet people on my visits to see Stephanie over the years. It’s always fun to catch up with everyone!
My first quilt. I hope Evie likes it :)
Making headbands and bows! So much fun.
A peek at Evie’s adorable nursery with the bunting quilt on the cute antique rocking chair.
This summer marks 17 years of friendship with this lady.
A hug from the boys before I left. Love these little guys.
Very soon, I’ll be heading back up to hold this precious little girl. I cannot wait!
Love you and thankful for a friend who cares so much. You’re the best and the shower was exactly what I wanted.
