Just over a month ago, Lincoln got a little baby cousin. His reaction to her has ranged from total excitement to concern over the amount of attention this little thing receives from us, and everything in between. He likes to walk up to her and say, “Hi, Baby!” It’s pretty cute. He also holds his finger to his lips and says, “Shhhh”, when she’s sleeping. (Too bad he’s usually in her face while he’s saying it and therefore wakes her up anyways)
I didn’t really get any photos of them early on, because well, Lincoln is wild and Cora is tiny. I have a feeling that her first bruise/injury/black eye will be at the hands of her cousin. Poor thing. She’s going to need to be tough to hang with Lincoln. Today I decided to try again for a photo, and Lincoln was actually very gentle with her. I’m so excited for him to have a cousin, and especially one that lives so close. These two have lots of fun times ahead of them.
He wanted her to wear his hat. I had to explain that he was smothering her.
He loves to hug her….which is also a little like smothering the poor child.
In a major act of kindness from a toddler boy, he decided to let her play with his dinosaur. Only for a minute though. Let’s not get carried away with the whole sharing thing.
