A few months ago, I saw the 21 Day Getting Organized Challenge on A Bowl Full of Lemons blog. I decided I would give it a try in 2012. I thought I’d photograph a few days of my challenge. I’m not sure if I’ll take the time to photograph all 21, but we’ll see.
If you want to take the challenge, here’s the link with the list of things to do! I’m excited about it, because it makes getting the house organized seem very doable.
Day One: Junk Drawer
What a mess, right? What is all this stuff and how did it get here????
All emptied out. I took the opportunity to wipe it down.
All the junk laid out.
There were so many random push pins, straight pins, miscellaneous hardware, etc. I decided to use an ice tray to keep those tiny things in order.
Ta da. Still tons of stuff, but at least it makes sense now and I can find what I need! I might buy a few more plastic containers to keep some of those loose items in, but this will work for now.
Wish me luck on my quest to get this place organized!
I did this a couple months ago with our junk drawer, now it’s back to it’s natural state of disorganization. What’s funny is that my sweet husband had never heard of a “junk drawer” before we met. His mama was just always so orderly that there was no need for such a thing. I think we had several growing up in my house!
